Editorial Standards

The principles used to plan, write, review, and update AEO content.

01

Reader-first publishing

Content must help a reader understand or act. Pages are not padded to reach arbitrary word counts, created solely to target minor keyword variations, or written to imply certainty that the evidence does not support.

02

Core standards

Every substantive article is expected to define its scope, answer the primary question, identify important limitations, use precise language, and distinguish observation from inference.

  • Original framing and useful synthesis
  • Specific, supportable claims
  • Primary sources where reasonably available
  • Visible authorship and review information
  • Material updates and corrections when needed
03

Commercial independence

Educational content may support the publisher's marketing services, but commercial relevance does not permit false claims, hidden sponsorship, or manipulated conclusions. Sponsored or affiliate relationships must be disclosed where they exist.
